The whole project sub-divided into 8 Contracts:
1. The basement slab and wall.
2. Entrance gateway and bridges.
3. The Crockford Tower and Hotel Michael - MC01.
4. The Festival Hotel - MC02.
5. The Hard Rock Hotel - MC03.
6. The Universal Studio - MC04.
7. The Marine Life Park - MC05.
8. The Equartius Hotel, Oceanarium and Beach Villas - MC06.
Design constraints
1. A fast track project which construction time is limited.
2. Built on reclaimed land and not enough working / storage space on site for Contractors in each phase.
3. Design includes the only 'suspended type' Lagoon of Universal Studio in the World which is over a huge carpark.
Watertightness is utmost important.
4. Watertightness to all theme parks
5. The huge oceanarium to house dolphins as well as a vast variety of valuable marine creatures. Watertightness cannot be
compromised.
Solutions
- With such huge site but short construction period, Cementaid integral waterproofing system to the huge basement is an ideal choice.
- Cementaid integral waterproofing systems are used in all water retaining structures to ensure watertightness. On top of that, even if leakage arises, it shall be localized and rectified in short time.
